BRENDA MURPHY
A native of Texas, Brenda Murphy brings together a life-long passion for the west and a flair for working with pencil. Her skillful use of composition, design and light result in beautifully orchestrated drawings that tell a good story. Most often her subjects revolve around ranching life, children and animals.
Brenda’s work can be found in private and permanent collections and has been featured in Art of the West Magazine, Southwest Art and Western Horseman. In 2003 she received the Patron's Purchase Award at the Bosque Classic, in 2005 the Patron's Choice Award at the Western Visions Show at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming, in 2006 the Museum Purchase Award at the Desert Caballeros Museum’s Cowgirl Up! Show in Wickenburg, AZ and in 2008 the Patron's Choice Award at the National Cowgirl Museum's Heart of the West Show and Sale in Fort Worth, TX. |
