Chrissy Mathey is a contemporary Western artist living in North Texas, where she and her husband raise and show Texas Longhorn cattle with their five children.

A former professional photographer, she returned to her first love of oil painting drawing inspiration from the ranch life she lives every day. Her expressive paintings celebrate the beauty, grit, and spirit of the American West with bold color, painterly brushwork, and a touch of whimsy. Through her work, Chrissy hopes to bring joy, preserve Western heritage, and remind viewers that the West is still alive and thriving.
