Kevin Felderhoff

Kevin is a self-taught wood turner and native of Muenster, Texas. “One of the challenges of turning wood, is to take the most awkward and abnormally shaped piece of wood and calculate the best angle to mount it on the lathe. It is truly satisfying when the wood transforms into an exquisite piece of unique art.

Felderhoffs turned wood pieces are elegant not only for the mastery of his skill, but also for the innate beauty of the wood itself. The bowls and vases begun life decades perhaps centuries ago and their story is evident in the striations and coloring of the wood itself. Each of Kevin’s pieces holds secrets of the forest and is presented beautifully in each of his vessels.
